Mountain Standard Time Performative Art Festival Society

The Mountain Standard Time Performative Art Festival Society (M:ST) showcases original, diverse, and innovative performative works. M:ST ensures that the exceptional quality of performative art is recognized and sustained in the Southern Alberta region.

The M:ST Festival includes the participation of nine Southern Alberta arts organizations:
The Alberta College of Art & Design, The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers,
EMMEDIA Gallery and Production Society, The New Gallery, The Nickle Arts Museum, Stride Gallery, TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary, The Southern Alberta Art Gallery (Lethbridge), and The Walter Phillips Gallery (Banff). Through the production of a regionally-based biennial festival, M:ST enriches
intercommunity exchange and dialogue between organizations and communities in all three
participating municipalities.

M:ST is committed to presenting performative works from a variety of disciplines that reflect current issues and practices in contemporary art. Through exhibitions, performances, and events, M:ST fosters the development of performative art practices among local, national and international artistic communities. M:ST’s role in presenting professional, high quality cultural experiences continues
to grow, increasing opportunities for education and critical discourse surrounding contemporary performative practices.
