M:ST 4 Event Architecture Series
The M:ST 4 Event Architecture Series includes artists who use administrative tools and strategies to coordinate participatory and interactive projects. Whether running through museums, running workshops, walking the perimeter of an island, or reorganizing a gallery's collection, these performances borrow from and rework institutional structures to develop new relationships between artist, audience, and gallery. Many of the artists in this series have worked as administrators within galleries and institutions, and mine this experience for artistic inspiration. The knowledge gained from this work has allowed these artists to use this expertise in the planning and execution of their works - often resulting in large-scale projects that may take months of planning to implement one day of action.
