Armed
with a portable FM transmitter and a list of questions, Robyn Moody will
be conducting interviews with pedestrians along Stephen Avenue Mall. The
content of his interviews range from emotionally charged local issues to
questions about the existence of aliens and whether or not O.J. was guilty.
Moody’s performance asks participants from the public to evaluate and express
their beliefs about their own community and reveals the thought processes
that produce a larger value system.
Robyn Moody is a Lethbridge-based artist who has exhibited installations and performance work innumerous national and international venues.
JAPAN'S NATIONAL ANTHEM AND LECTURE

This performance
work utilizes three components: performance, digital imaging, and video
animation. Iranian-Canadian artist Afshin Matlabi will perform the Japanese
national anthem and lecture on the characteristics of nationalism in the
global age. His performance conjures notions of patriotism, nationality,
and identity within an international context. In this work, Matlabi distinguishes
the position between global nations and reveals a multi-faceted understanding
of international survival.
Afshin Matlabi is a Montreal-based artist who has exhibited his printmedia and installation work extensively across Canada.
