M:ST 4 Media Arts Siteology Series
Alberta's current economic boom has resulted in significant changes to the physical, demographic, and social landscapes of our cities. Destruction, construction, and rapid population growth are transforming our neighbourhoods, personal spaces, and public histories on a day-to-day basis. This landscape-in-flux sets the scene for artists and audiences to consider their relationship to our changing geography.The M:ST 4 Siteology Series showcases works from a diverse selection of media artists who employ technology as tool for interaction with various physical, social, and emotional spaces. The artists in this series draw from traditions and methods of psychogeography, locative media, and nomadism in order to traverse, explore and infiltrate their chosen terrain.
